Pizza Capacity

If I were writing a new car review—which I will assuredly be doing for the 500 Benz at some point, by the way—I would probably call this 7.9-cubic-foot trunk "paltry" or some such epithet.

But I'm not sure how much more depth you really need than just enough to accommodate an enormous Vito's Pizza box.

The 500 Benz helped deliver a pizza last night for the Packers/Vikings game, and as you can see, a box full of the best pizza in L.A. fits perfectly on the trunk floor. Eyeballing it, I'd say I could squeeze three boxes across and, what, five in each stack? Six? If my calculations are correct, that's a capacity of 15 to 18 pizzas. Try that in a 911.

And unlike the newer SLs with their space-inefficient folding hardtops, this one gives you maximum capacity all the time, even when it's time to floss your shit. So if you've got an R230 or an R231 and you need to deliver 18 pizzas al fresco, you know, maybe we could work something out.
